Most Americans Reject Radical Gender Ideology
June 8, 2023(As a reminder, for optimum viewing on a mobile device, orient the device to landscape.) Most Americans Reject Radical Gender IdeologyA recent survey conducted by Rasmussen presented findings that 71% of American adults are in agreement that “there are two genders, male and female,” with 57% expressing a strong level of agreement. Additionally, the survey revealed that over 60% of Americans show support for legislation that prohibits gender transition procedures for individuals under the age of 18. Further, the survey discovered that 67% of Democrats share the belief that there are only two genders. These survey results indicate a growing consensus across the United States that seems to extend beyond political party lines. It’s no wonder that companies aggressively pushing gender ideology this month are experiencing serious backlash. Thankfully, declared GOP candidates (so far) for the 2024 presidential race align with the majority of voters on this issue. The top candidates unanimously agree that sex-change treatments for minors should be banned. Presidential campaigns of Republican candidates, including former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, and Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, along with anticipated candidate former Vice President Mike Pence, have all vowed to oppose minors undergoing sex-change treatments. Wisconsin Gov. Evers, on the other hand, has shown dedication to attacking God’s plan for humanity, as expressed in our biological sex. In his budget proposal earlier this year, Evers proposed denying reality and biology by replacing throughout state law basically any word that is gender-identifying. For instance, he would replace “father” and “mother” with terms such as “parent,” “birth parent,“ or “parent who gave birth to the child,” replacing “male” and “man” with “person,” replacing “husband” and “wife” with “spouse,” and replacing “woman” and “mother” in discussions about invitro fertilization with “person inseminated.” Thankfully, the majority of Americans disagree with Evers on this issue. They still believe in basic biology and God’s design. Hopefully, upcoming elections will reflect this growing consensus. |
